How instant win contests work
Most instant win contests in Canada use a "winning moments" system: the sponsor pre-selects random timestamps, and the first entry after each timestamp wins that prize. That means your odds are usually better during off-peak hours — late nights and early mornings — when fewer people are playing. Many of these contests also offer thousands of smaller prizes alongside the grand prize, so your overall chance of winning something is much higher than in a single grand-prize draw.
